Extra Credit Information
Maximum of 10 points per quarter
THE DEADLINE FOR EXTRA CREDIT FOR 3rd QUARTER IS
Monday, March 18th
2:30 pm for papers to be dropped off in my room
or by 12:00am (midnight) for papers to be emailed to me.

1.  Visit a gallery or museum. 
      (1 to 10 points possible based on the quality of the paper)

     Write a paper (minimum of 350 words, typed) in which you:
            a. State the name of the museum or gallery & your reason for choosing that particular place.
            b. Discuss in detail one work of art that you saw.
 Include:
•the name of the artist and of the piece
•a detailed description of the piece
•your reaction to it, your opinion about the piece
 
2.  Find a picture of a piece of art on the internet or in a book and write a paper about it.
     (1 to 10 points possible based on the quality of the paper)
     Write a paper (minimum of 350 words, typed). 
Include:
•the name of the artist and of the piece
•a detailed description if the piece
•your reaction to it, your opinion about the piece
•a picture of the piece or the web address or the book where it can be found.
VERY IMPORTANT
Are you eligible for Extra Credit?
Remember that you can only earn extra credit if
all of your assignments are turned in (except starters).

Also, students who have more than 1 unexcused absence,
or more than 5 absences of any sort (except school excused, funeral, or medical),
or more than 4 tardies are not eligible for extra credit.
